NY Firefighter Dies after Responding to Motor Vehicle Accident

Ronald W. Hinkle died after responding to a call with the Loch Sheldrake Fire Department.

A Loch Sheldrake firefighter died after he returned home following a response Tuesday.

Ronald W. Hinkle, 71, responded with the fire department to motor vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.

Later that day, Hinkle was found unresponsive at home, according to a release from the U.S. Fire Administration. 

Crews were unable to revive Hinkle.

The cause of his death has not been released.
