Firehouse Expo 'Call for Papers' Deadline Extended

Dec. 19, 2017
Firehouse is encouraging instructors to submit on topics including fire-based EMS, WUI and hands-on training.

The deadline has been extended to submit abstracts to be considered for Firehouse Expo 2018 in Nashville, TN. The new deadline is Jan. 15, 2018.

"I encourage you to submit topics that are outside the box," said Firehouse Editor-in-Chief and Conference Director Timothy Sendelbach.

In addition to the traditional fireground operations, leadership and training topics, Sendelbach encourages submissions for hands-on training, fire-based EMS sessions and Wildland Urban Interface topics.

"This deadline extension is focused on achieving our 2018 goal of an expanded hands-on training program and the addition of two specialized tracks focused on fire-based EMS and Wildland-Urban Interface operations," Sendelbach added.

Those interested in hands-on training sessions are encourage to submit four- and eight-hour sessions on topics including live fire, engine and truck operations, specialized rescue and fitness and endurance.
