Dec. 19--Actor Rob Lowe showed his appreciation for firefighters battling the massive Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties with spaghetti and burgers.

Lowe, who lives near Montecito, posted an Instagram photo Sunday showing a smiling group of firefighters eating dinner at his house. The "West Wing" and "Parks and Recreation" actor captioned the photo "Dinner for new friends at our house."

Lowe also shared a group photo with the firefighters, thanking them for saving Santa Barbara from the massive fire that has blazed throughout the area in the past two weeks, and a separate photo showing Lowe grabbing a hose and helping fire crews as the fires approached his home.

"You do what you can, but when it's time... you GO," he wrote.

The Thomas Fire bared down on Montecito on Saturday, as winds pushed the fire down the hills above the wealthy Santa Barbara-area community, threatening numerous homes on the foothills. Other celebrities -- like Oprah Winfrey, who also lives in the area -- were forced to evacuate in the midst of what is currently the third-largest wildfire in California history.
