Colleagues Mourn the Loss of OK Firefighter

Oklahoma City Lt. Jeffrey S. White suffered died while on-duty at Station 36.

Oklahoma City firefighters are mourning the loss of a fire lieutenant who died on-duty Tuesday.

Lt. Jeffrey S. White was working at Station 36 when he suffered a medical condition.

He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed complications from the medical condition, according to a release from the Oklahoma City Fire Department.

White, a Hazardous Materials Technician and Rescue Diver, also served on the department's honor guard and Critical Incident Stress Management Team. He was a Peer Fitness Trainer for the department.

White leaves behind a wife of 14 years.

"Family, friends, and his Oklahoma City Fire Department family will certainly miss Lieutenant White," the department said in the statement.
