Paris (dpa) - At least four people, including two firefighters, died during an early morning house fire near the northern French city of Calais, officials said Sunday.
At least three people were injured, some seriously, according to the prefecture office in Pas-de-Calais.
No cause for the fire was yet known.
A family of four, including children aged 16 and 22, lived in the house. The blaze was reported in the early morning. Two bodies - presumed to be those of the children - were found inside the house. The parents managed to flee to safety.
The two deceased firefighters were aged 20 and 32. A third firefighter had to be taken to hospital with injuries.
