FDNY firefighter Anthony Marino was arrested at his home on Friday for allegedly trafficking fentanyl.

An FDNY firefighter was arrested at his home on Friday for allegedly trafficking fentanyl.

According to news sources, Anthony Marino, 45, a four-year firefighter stationed at Ladder 11 on East 2nd street in the East Village, was taken out of his Staten Island home in handcuffs.

According to the New York Daily News, Marino is suspected of purchasing the drug on the dark web and having it delivered by mail. The newspaper reported that United States Postal Inspectors were in charge of the investigation with help from the Drug Enforcement Agency and Homeland Security.

ABC News 7 said several items were seized from his home and the Daily News said news cameras captured images of police officers hauling a computer out of the home.

The TV station said charges are pending against Marino, who remains in custody.

The New York Post reported that Marino has been with the FDNY for almost four years and was on limited duty when he was arrested.

The television station reported that an FDNY spokesperson said the legal paperwork will be reviewed for action and Marino will be suspended without pay.
