Collision Flips TX Aerial Apparatus on its Side

Four Tomball firefighters were injured when the ladder truck collided with a pickup truck.

Six people were injured in a collision between a Tomball Fire Department ladder truck and a pickup Saturday evening.

Four firefighters were on the apparatus with its lights and sirens activated on the south on the feeder road of Highway 99 when it collided with a pickup truck on FM249, according to ABC13.com.

The ladder truck ended up in a muddy field where it overturned on the driver's side.

Both occupants of the pickup and the four firefighters were taken the hospital where they were treated. The firefighters were all released Saturday night.

"I lost a good friend of mine who was with the Houston Fire Department," Chief Randy Parr told the television station. "Thankfully, this turned out better."
