ROME (AP) -- A fire department helicopter searching for lost hikers crashed Monday, killing all five people aboard.
The helicopter crashed about 35 miles north of Rome, apparently after hitting a power line.
The dead included both pilots, two members of the fire department's rescue team and a volunteer.
The lost hikers -- a father and son missing on Monte Gennaro since Sunday night -- were found later in good condition by a rescue team on the ground.
