It is with deep regret that we report the death of Volunteer Firefighter Joseph Tagliareni Jr., 34, of the Secaucus, N.J. Volunteer Fire Department, which occurred on Sunday, June 13th, 1999.

While driving the rescue truck to an alarm on May 31st, he pulled the rig over and complained to the officer that he did not feel good. He then go out of the truck and walked around to the back, where he collapsed in cardiac arrest. CPR was started and he was rushed to the hospital, where he lapsed into a coma.

The 16-year veteran leaves a wife and 19-month old son.

The viewing and funeral arrangements are as follows:

    1245 Paterson Plank Road Tuesday, 6/15 - 7 to 9 pm
    Wednesday, 6/16 - 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm
  • Funeral:
    Immaculate Conception R.C. Church
    1219 Paterson Plank Road
    Secaucus, NJ
    Thursday, 6/17 - 10 am

May he rest in eternal peace and may the Good Lord watch over and protect the loved ones that he left behind.
