Around 1330 hours on May 14, a Chesterfield County Fire Marshal, traveling in his county vehicle, was T-boned by another vehicle at Ironbridge and Whitepine roads.
Engine 1, Medic 11, Medic 17, Battalion 1, Division Commander Rick Bucher, Chesterfield County Police, Virginia State Police and Sheriff's Deputies responded. Firefighters removed the marshal from his vehicle, provided aid and placed him in Medic 11 who then transported him to a waiting helicopter where he was flown to VCU Medical Center.
Police have not said if charges will be filed, the accident is under investigation. Officials have not released the Fire Marshal's name. Officials said the Fire Marshal was not responding to a fire.
