July 3, 2019
"It took us a long 10 seconds—a scary 10 seconds—to find a way out," said a Castle Hills firefighter injured in the house fire, which had crews returning when it reignited.

Firefighters were called out twice to deal with flames that broke out inside a Castle Hills home on Tuesday night.

Castle Hills firefighters were called to the 200 block of Honeysuckle Lane around 9:15 p.m. and found a home on fire.

The fire gutted the interior of the home, and the roof collapsed on its left side, firefighters said. The home was deemed a total loss.

Two firefighters were hospitalized for burns while extinguishing the flames.

The fire started up again overnight, and firefighters had to return to the scene to put it out again.

The damage done to the home is estimated to cost up to $850,000.
