The smoke on the water Wednesday night off the MacArthur Causeway in Miami was from a fire on a 120-foot luxury yacht reportedly owned by Grammy Award winning singer and entertainer Marc Anthony.

Miami Fire Rescue along with units from Miami Beach Fire Rescue and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were called to the scene of the fire about 7:30 p.m.

Flames and smoke from the burning yacht, named Andiamo, could be seen for several miles.

The fire was under control in about two hours and no other nearby boats were damaged, according to Miami Fire Rescue Capt. Ignatius Carroll.

The cause of the fire isn’t known and there were no reported injuries.

The Andiamo, worth about $7 million, is owned by Anthony, according to the tabloid news website TMZ. The yacht has five cabins, satellite television and docking stations for several personal watercraft, TMZ reported.

The vessel began capsizing late Wednesday night and firefighters remained at the scene Thursday morning to monitor the yacht.
