Watch MA Firefighters Battle Massive Mansion Blaze

Concord crews needed to call in tankers to help put out the large residential fire that had multiple departments responding.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a large fire at a home in Concord Friday morning where smoke and flames could be seen coming from the roof.

Concord Fire Captain Brian Whitney confirmed that firefighters had to bring in tanker trucks because they were having trouble getting water to the home.

Two people were in the home at the time were able to make it out safely.

Crews were dispatched to the fire at 9:50 a.m. Several fire trucks responded, including crews from Lincoln, Lexington, Bedford, Wayland, Acton, Littleton, Marlborough, Harvard, Stow, Boxborough and Sudbury.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Property records show the home was built in 1897 and assessed at being worth almost $3 million. The property has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, tennis courts and a pool.
