An internal investigation is underway after a Fort Smith firefighter was ticketed for sexual solicitation while on duty at the firehouse.
Robert Lewis Dean was cited by Sebastian County deputies for misdemeanor sexual solicitation on Oct. 19. The address on the citation is Fort Smith Fire Station.
Dean is accused of offering or agreeing to pay a person for sex, according to to 40/29 News.
He pleaded not guilty and has a trial date in December.
The Crawford and Sebastian counties Drug Task Force is investigating the incident.
The fire chief, who is out of town, said Dean was placed on paid administrative leave.
