Like a scene out of a TV show like "9-1-1" or "Chicago Fire," California firefighters tackled a burning garbage truck Monday that finally stopped in the front yard of a home.

Monterey Park fire crews responded to the runaway vehicle fire just after 10:30 a.m., KTLA-TV reports. Firefighters were already battling another blaze when the truck caught fire and began rolling down a hill, hitting a parked car before stopping.

Engulfed in flames, the burning truck, which appeared to be carrying tree clippings, charred the streets and front yard. The driver was able to safely escape the truck, and crews were able to extinguish the fire, which is under investigation, according to KTLA.
