Body camera footage shows Alabama firefighters extinguishing a house fire that severely burned a boy earlier this week.

The blaze happened Monday night in Fowl River, and the Theodore/Dawes Volunteer Fire Department released images and video of the incident Thursday.

In the footage, firefighter Jarvis Lee battles flames as they erupt through the house, which was gutted by the fire, WKRG-TV reports. Wayne "Boogie" Colwell, 11, suffered serious burns in the fire, and he was airlifted to University Hospital before being taken to University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital in serious condition.
