Texas crews struggled with high temperatures on two fronts Sunday while extinguishing an apartment fire that sent two firefighters to the hospital with heat exhaustion.

The intense four-alarm blaze, which broke out just after 4 p.m. at an Arlington apartment complex, was coupled with an outdoor heat index that reached 105 degrees, forcing other area departments to be called in to help, KTVT-TV reports. Flames collapsed part of the building's roof and damaged or destroyed a dozen units.

No residents were injured from the incident, the TV station added.
