More than 180 firefighters were able to get the downtown Los Angeles warehouse blaze under control and keep the flames from spreading to nearby buildings.

More than 180 Los Angeles firefighters battled a blaze at a downtown fabric warehouse early Monday.

Crews responded to the fire just after midnight at Payman Fabric, a 10,360 square-foot warehouse, KCBS-TV reports. Flames engulfed the building, and the blaze collapsed the roof.

Three firefighters were hurt battling the fire. One firefighter suffered heat exhaustion, and two suffered injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, according to KCBS.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in about three hours. They also were able to keep the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.

"They did an outstanding job keeping the flames confined to the unit of origin,” Los Angeles Fire Capt. Erik Scott told KCBS.

No one else was injured in the blaze, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
