MA Firefighter Injured in 2-Alarm Duplex Blaze

Hyannis firefighters responded to the burning, two-story duplex after receiving a call about a "flickering glow" at the residence Saturday night.

A Massachusetts firefighter was injured in a two-alarm blaze that broke out at a two-story duplex Saturday night.

Hyannis crews responded to a call of a "flickering glow" at home just before 11 p.m., Hyannis News reports. Once at the scene, firefighters discovered burn marks on the duplex, along with ringing alarms and smoke billowing from inside the walls.

A firefighter was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with an apparent shoulder injury, according to Hyannis News. The flames were extinguished by firefighters, and the cause of blaze is under investigation.
