A crane collapsed onto a condo complex in Norwood Friday afternoon, but no one was hurt, according to authorities.

The collapse happened at a complex near the intersection of Bahama Drive and Neponset Street at 12:37 p.m. on March 15, the Norwood Fire Department said on Facebook.

Crews arrived to find the crane resting on a building that was under construction.

First responders helped evacuate the building. Five people were evaluated onsite with one person declined medical transport, authorities said.

Firefighters were said to still have been on scene as of 1:46 p.m. helping to ensure the crane is removed safely.

It is not known if the building will be livable once the crane is removed, the fire department added. Building and wiring inspectors were onsite as well.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has also notified, Boston25 reported. The investigation is ongoing.
