Fire at Mount Gilead, OH, Puppy Mill Leaves 70 Dogs Dead

The fire is believed to have started near a woodstove, Johnsville Fire Chief Harlan Barrick said.

A fire at a Morrow County puppy mill claimed 70 dogs earlier this week,

Johnsville Fire Chief Harlan Barrick told WSYX  that firefighters rescued one puppy while 17 others were freed by the owners.

The fire is believed to have started around a woodstove.

The building was fully involved in fire when crews arrived. It took 40 minutes to control the fire.
