CA Wildland Fire Grows Forcing Evacuation Orders

The fire continues to spread and is burning into Los Padres National Forest.

Sep. 21-- A vegetation fire near Lopez Lake has grown to more than 200 acres and multiple structures are threatened, a Cal Fire spokesman said.

Evacuations are ordered and in progress on Upper Lopez Canyon from French Camp, Cal Fire confirmed. The fire continues to spread and is burning into Los Padres National Forest.

Cal Fire first tweeted about the fire at 2:46 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The fire is burning brush and oak trees around Upper Lopez Canyon Road and Wittenberg Creed Road.
