Hot Shield Masks are designed by firefighters specifically for wildland firefighting. We make different models because firefighters want choices. Every mask is constructed of multiple layers of CarbonX brand fabrics. All of our masks are designed to provide significant and unsurpassed radiant heat and flame protection. CarbonX fabrics are third party tested to achieve an astonishing RPP rating of 11 cal/cm2 and a TPP rating of 10 cal/cm2 (single layer). Our masks have no filter, or use either low-level N-95 filters or combine with name brand canister style half face respirators. Hand or machine washable, Hot Shield masks are extremely durable.
