Raw footage shows East Contra Costa County firefighters saving a home during a brush fire that destroyed two barns Friday in Brentwood.

June 1--A half-acre vegetation fire near Brentwood Friday evening burned three outbuildings but spared the main residence on the property, fire officials said.

Fire crews responded just before 5 p.m. to reports of a vegetation fire that had so far spread to two outbuildings and was threatening a home in the 4000 block of Sellers Avenue, said Craig Auzenne, a battalion chief with the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

Firefighters worked to protect the home while simultaneously dousing the blaze. They brought the fire under control, but not before it burned three outbuildings and a half-acre swath of vegetation, Auzenne said.

No one reported any injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
