Texas Mobile Home Burns Twice

The Keene, Texas Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on CR 701 west of their city at 17:21 on April 11, 2005.

Engine One arrived to find a fully involved doublewide mobile home, Engine Three arrived immediately following.

Mutual aid was provided by Alvarado Fire Department which tied into a fire hydrant a quarter of a mile from the fire.

Joshua and Grandview Volunteer Fire Departments also responded with mutual aid. Emergency Support service provided liquids and food.

All units cleared at 20:45 with no injuries reported.

The next morning at 6:57 a.m. a school bus driver phoned in a report of a structure fire at the same address.

By the time Engine One and Three arrived the wind had accelerated the fire and the mobile home was totally engulfed for a second time.

Engine Three laid the line from the hydrant with the Cleburne Fire Department the second department on providing man power along with the Alvarado Fire Department.
