On April 2, 2005 Camden, New Jersey firefighters battled a fast-moving two-alarm fire. The fire was in a large two and a half story, 75 x 150 building at the Old Antraim Hardware Store at 15th and Federal Streets. This building is located in the East Camden section of the city.

Shortly before 8 a.m. first in units reported heavy fire and smoke showing. Fire was reported to be through the roof.

A second alarm was then struck. Heavy rains dumped water on the blaze until the arrival of firefighters. The rains also caused flooding in the South Jersey areas.

Tower Ladder 3 was set up, along with Ladder Company 1, using master streams. Firefighters placed numerous hand lines and deck guns in service.

The fire was quickly placed under control in an hour.
