On Wednesday, March 29, 2006, the Shawnee Heights Fire District was dispatched to a structure fire at SW 65th & Morrill, south of Topeka near the Montara community.
First arriving units reported that the two story farmhouse was fully involved.
A tanker shuttle was initiated using mutual aid from the Mission Township, Auburn Township and Dover Fire District.
Investigation revealed that the fire in the house under renovation had been started by 3 juveniles.
