Plattekill NY Firefighters battle Multiple Alarm House Fire

At approx 3 am Tuesday the Plattekill Fire District of Ulster County was alerted for a possible structure fire on Rt 300 near Kandi Ln in the Town of Newburgh, Orange County portion of their District.

At approx 3 am Tuesday the Plattekill Fire District of Ulster County was alerted for a possible structure fire on Rt 300 near Kandi Ln in the Town of Newburgh, Orange County portion of their District.

While enroute Plattekill Command was advised of multiple calls.

Plattekill Command requested an immediate response from Cronomer Valley for a Tanker to the scene and arrived a short time later and confirmed Heavy Fire on the 2nd floor of the home. An additional Mutual Aid request went out for an Engine from Orange Lake to establish a Tanker fill site and Tankers from Wallkill, Clintondale and a FAST Team from Marlboro.

1 Firefighter received minor injuries in the fire who's cause is under investigation by the Town of Newburgh and Ulster County Fire Investigation Units.
