Chicago Firefighters responded to 15th Street and Ashland for a report of a fire.

Battalion 4 arrived and had a fire in a 125 X 500 candle factory, with heavy smoke and fire. Quickly the fire spread, so Battalion 4 requested a box and then a 2-11, plus a Level 1 Hazmat.

Battalion 4 then requested the helicopter and a 3-11 alarm. 271 reported that Battalion 4 requested all light wagons and air mask units to the scene with 1 hour bottles due to heavy black smoke from the chemicals from the factory.

Firefighters thought they had this fire when heavy flames came from the second floor windows.

This fire went to a 5-11 alarm and 1 special.

Firefighters worked through the night to contain this fire.
