Fire Investigators from Seminole County are wrapping up their work at a house fire that claimed the lives of four children, Channel 9 Eyewitness News Reported.

911: "Is everybody out of the house?"

Caller: "No, there are babies inside the house."

The frantic screams of a mother heard in the background of a 911 call placed by a man who stopped to help the victims of a burning house.

Five Children were inside, only 5-year-old Johnathon Marimon made it out alive. The parents, Alfonso and Chandra Barnes-Marimon, are listed in stable condition at Winter Park Hospital.

Fire Investigators say it's still too early to tell what happened inside the house or how the fire began, but they say the focus of their investigation is an air conditioning unit attached to the house.

When crews arrived, flames were shooting 30 feet into the air and took almost half an hour to extinguish.

Now, authorities are trying to find a cause. "We just started digging following the fire patterns and see nothing jumping out that it's an accident, or that arson occurred," said Captain Wayne Petrovich of the State Fire Marshall's Office.

No smoke detector was found in the home, which, they say, would have alarmed the family well before the flames did.

If you would like to help the Marimon family, a fund has been set up at the Citizens Bank of Oviedo. Stop by any branch, or call 407-365-6611.
