On July 6, 2005, Slater-Marietta Fire Department received a call for a fully involved mobile home fire with possible entrapment.
Upon arrival it was determined that the owner was not home.
North Greenville Fire Department responded for mutual aid on this call, which both departments faught for about 3 hours.
