A fire was reported at approximately 2:35 pm, on June 22, 2005 of a structure fire next to residence unknown on entrapments.

Initial dispatch of 1 Engine 1 Water Tender and 1 ALS ambulance

Upon arrival first due engine 1Charles 11 reported a fully engulfed barn fire, with bystanders reporting 3 to 4 horses trapped inside, 2 preconnected 1 3/4 hose lines deployed for fire attack with tank water of 1000 gallons and class A foam

ICS established by 1C90 Jackson Township Fire Department Chief B. Wiederhold and Mutual aid requested for additional water tenders and a second pumper and manpower from Owensville Fire Department and Wayne Township Fire Department.

Fire confined to the fire building and surrounding vegetation by the efforts of the 3 responding Department's.

Despite all efforts 4 horses perished in the fire.
