Firefighters Contain Brush Fire in Mill Basin, Brooklyn

On March, 30, 2005 a brush fire broke out between 33-36 Streets and Avenue U in Mill Basin, Brooklyn.

On March, 30, 2005 a brush fire broke out between 33-36 Streets and Avenue U in Mill Basin, Brooklyn. The fire which started around 10:10 a.m., darkened the sunny morning with plumes of black smoke and fire.

Due to the intense fire upon arrival, the FDNY had to call in brush trucks to help douse the fire.

The department used all-hands to battle the blaze, which was brought under control nearly 50 minutes later.

According to a fire chief at the scene, the cause of the fire was unknown. No injuries were reported.
