Firefighters Battle Two Alarm Fire in High Point, North Carolina

Crews responded to a reported fire at the address of 2110 South College Drive on the afternoon of Tuesday May17, 2005. Smoke was visible from all directions in High Point.

Squad 2 arrived on scene and advised heavy smoke and flames visible.

Crews attempted to make an interior attack and were quickly pulled out for a defensive attack. Aerials were set up on all four corners of the structure.

1.75 inch handlines, 2.5 inch handlines and master streams were also put to use.

It took over 50 firefighters including the 2005 rookie school to battle the blaze in the 30,000 square foot commercial structure.

Inspectors are spending the day looking for the source of the fire. The day before units responded to this same address for a dumpster fire. No injuries were reported.
