Firefighters Douse Truck Fire in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey

At 8:30 a.m. the Franklin Lakes Fire Department was dispatched to I-287 North for a reported truck fire on the shoulder.

Assistant Chief Jeremy Donch was first to arrive and reported that the truck was fully engulfed with fire.

Franklin Lakes Squad 333 was the first engine in with a crew of four.

The first hose team was able to knock down the fire quickly.

Franklin Lakes Engine 334 and Rescue 342 also responded with manpower and water.

Interstate 287 northbound was re-opened within 20 minutes after the arrival of the fire department.
