At 1700 hrs, Far Rockaway units of Queens, NY were turned out to a report of a private dwelling at Beach 65th St/Beach Channel Drive.
First due E.265/TL.121 found a fire in the attic of a 2 1/2 story private dwelling. Initial attack was interior but all manpower was soon backed out and TL's 121 and 107 were put into operation.
Searches were delayed due to colliers mansion conditions in the attic. This fire was brought under control with in 1 hour.
