At 0301 hours on Feb. 26, 2003 units from Longmeadow Co.27, Maugansville Co.13 and Medic 759 were alerted for a working house fire on in the 18700 block of Fountain Head Terrace West Hagerstown, Md.
Deputy Chief Justin T. Mayhue Of Co. 27 arrived to find a two-story, single-family house under construction well off with fire through the roof.
Operations switched to defensive tactics early in the incident. Deputy Chief 27 called for Engine 2 (HFD) Hagerstown Fire Dept. and Washington County Air and Food units.
The fire was doused at about 0400hrs. The damage to the home caused about $250.000 in damages. The origin of the fire is still under investigation by the Maryland state fire marshal's office. Units cleared by 0830 hours.
