JACKSONVILLE- A mid day fire in a downtown Jacksonville apartment building turned into a second alarm with firefighters rescuing six tenants from the flames.

Shortly before noon on Sunday March 20, 2005 units from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) were dispatched to a report of a fire on the third floor of a three story brick apartment building located at the corner of Broad and Beaver Streets. Upon arrival, first arriving Engine 4, under the command of Lieutenant Matt Cipriani, called heavy fire showing.
