At 6:30 pm, Jan 31, 2003, the Lillian VFD was dispatched to a structure fire on FM 2738 in Johnson County, Texas. Upon arrival they found a fully involved mobile home fire.
Mutual aid was requested from Alvarado FD and Venus VFD. As water supply was limited to the water contained on the engine, Lillian VFD concentrated on containing the fire to the area as there were 15 to 20 mph winds.
Upon arrival of additional water from the Mutual Aid Department, the Lillian VFD started attacking the fire from the west side of the structure and the Alvarado FD started attacking from the east side of the structure.
