East Avon, N.Y. Firefighters Attack House Fire

Firefighters in East Avon, New York were dispatched to an early morning house fire with reports of people trapped on Saturday, May 22. The Chief of the East Avon Fire Department requested immediate mutual aid from the Avon and Lakeville Fire Departments, as well as an ambulance from Lima. Upon his arrival, he found that the residents escaped the burning home. Firefighters from Caledonia were also called on mutual aid to assist, as the stubborn fire took hold of the two and a half-story home.

Firefighters from Caledonia were also called on mutual aid to assist, as the stubborn fire took hold of the two and a half-story home.

Units from the Lima and Geneseo Fire Departments covered East Avon during the fire. One resident was injured and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
