Uniondale, New York Firefighters Respond to Possible Resident Trapped in Fire

This Super Bowl Sunday (February 6, 2005) blaze was reported at about 8:30 PM on Jerusalem Ave. in Uniondale, New York. Responding units were advised by dispatchers of a possible person trapped.

First arriving units found an extremely heavy volume of fire on the first floor a private dwelling across. A downed live electrical wire in front of the house made conditions even more dangerous.

Lines were stretched as truck companies searched and opened up for ventilation.

Mutual aid companies responded from North Bellmore, Roosevelt, and Hempstead.

Nassau County Fire Marshall's Office was called to determine a cause.
