Baby Wipes Warmer Destroys Texas Mobile Home

The Cleburne, Texas Fire Department was dispatched to a smoke investigation on the east side of town at 23:13 on January 31, 2005.

The Cleburne, Texas Fire Department was dispatched to a smoke investigation on the east side of town at 23:13 on January 31, 2005. Upon arrival in the area Engine 1 reported heavy smoke present, the watch captain requested Engines 2 & 3 to respond.

Engine 1 found the source of the smoke was a mobile home on fire in a Mobile Home Park, they mounted an interior attack. Engine 2 reported to the rear of the mobile home and began pulling the exterior skin off the mobile home to acess the fire.

The residents were not at home at the time of the fire. The source was found to be a baby wipes warmer which had been placed under the crib.

There were no injuries.
