7th Busiest Squad in the Nation Runs 5 Extrications in 24 Hours

The last 24 hours was a busy time for Prince George's County, Maryland Rescue Squad 27.

The last 24 hours - Thursday, December 26th - was a busy time for Prince George's County, Md. Rescue Squad 27.

The first tool job was in the 6800 blk of Walker Mill Rd. Squad 27 extricated the victim by stabilizing the vehicle, used Hurst Spreaders, and cutters to remove two doors and the roof to extricate the victim.

The second tool job was at Marlboro Pike and Dower House. Squad 27 extricated one victim by stabilizing the vehicle and removing the door from the vehicle using the Hurst Spreaders.

The third tool Job was at Marlboro Pike and Dower House just a couple of hours after the last one at this address. Squad 27 extricated one victim by stabilizing the vehicle and removing the door from the vehicle using the Hurst Spreaders.

The fourth tool job was at Rosaryville and Sudan in co 45's area. First arriving units had a one car accident - car into the tree with one trapped. Prior to Rescue Squad 27's arrival the victim became a Trauma Code. Crews on scene removed the victim as best they could started CPR and transported.

The fifth tool job was at Pennsylvania Ave. and Forestville Rd. Rescue squad 27 arrived first and discovered a truck had rolled landing on its roof. One victim was trapped in the vehicle with the roof collapsing in on the victim.
