NY Firefighters Extricate One In Head On Crash

At approx 0415 Hours on December 22, 2002 the Vails Gate Fire Dept and New Windsor Vol. Ambulance Corp were Alerted for a Serious MVA on Little Britain Rd iao the Orange & Rockland Facility.

At approx 0415 Hours on December 22, 2002 the Vails Gate Fire Dept and New Windsor Vol. Ambulance Corp were Alerted for a Serious MVA on Little Britain Rd iao the Orange & Rockland Facility.

On Arrival FD Command reported a 2 Car Head On with Heavy Entrapment in 1 Vehicle. Upon arrival Vails Gate Rescue-480 went In Service with the Hurst Tool. EMS requested ALS and a Medivac Launch due to Mechanism of Trauma.

Vails Gate Car-2 and a 2nd Vails Gate Engine responded to the Flannery Animal Hospital and Established an LZ for Stat Flight. After a 25-30 Minute Extrication the Victim was flown to a Regional Trauma Center for Evaluation.
