Rhode Island Firefighters Extricate Pinned Driver

Shortly after 1300hrs. on November 26, 2002, Pawtucket, RI firefighters responded to a reported roll-over on Route 95 Northbound.

Shortly after 1300hrs. on November 26, 2002, Pawtucket, RI firefighters responded to a reported roll-over on Route 95 Northbound.

On arrival, firefighters found several vehicles involved; one vehicle on its' roof and another with serious damage and one occupant pinned inside.

Firefighters used the Jaws-of-Life for more than 20 minutes to remove the victim from the car.

Two Pawtucket rescues, as well as rescues from North Providence and Attleboro MA transported the injured parties to local hospitals.

The extent of the injuries is unknown at the present time. O

ne individual was taken into custody by members of the RI State Police, the reason for this arrest is also unknown.
