  Minneapolis firefighters found more than they bargained for when they were dispatched to smoke in the area on Nov. 24. Crews found heavy smoke coming from a boarded up home in the 3000 block of 15 Avenue South and requested a full assignment. Crews encountered difficulty in entering the house due to the heavily boarded windows and doors. Eventually, they got inside to start their attack. A second-alarm was called and several engine companies laid supply lines to the scene from hydrants around the area.

Because of the heavy fire command called for a defensive attack. They used several handlines and Ladder 3's aerial pipe.

Minneapolis fire and police officials reported a marijuana growing operation on the first and second floors of this abandoned house.
