Rockville Centre, New York Firefighters Respond To Fully Involved House

On November 4, 2004 the Rockville Centre Fire Department responded to the area of 309 Raymond street for smoke in the area.

When the chief arrived he reported a working house fire and ordered his first due engine to pick up the hydrant on the way in.

With heavy fire showing out the windows, lines were pushed into the house. The fire was located in the basement, first and second floors as the truck company performed searches and horizontal & veritical venting.

Truck companys from Oceanside & Lynbrook were used at the scene for master streams to knock down the bulk of the fire load.

The Freeport Fire Department was acting as the f.a.s.t.

All firefighting operations were under the direction of the Chief of Rockville Centre Fire Department Peter Stuyvesant.
