On March 4, firefighters were dispatched to an apartment fire in Arlington Texas.

Upon arrival, the crew of Engine 14 reported heavy fire on the north side of the building extending to the attic. A second alarm was requested.

Firefighters reduced the fire volume using their deck gun. Crews from Engines 1, 3, 7, and Quint 7 made an aggressive attack on the attic fire while Quint 1 personnel did salvage work.

Fireplace ashes placed in a plastic bucket ignited items on a first floor patio. The flames ran up the exterior wall into the attic.
