Arson Suspected as Six Homes Burn in Fort Worth

Fort Worth police said they suspect arson after six homes on one block burned down overnight.

Fire destroyed six homes that were still under construction in the new Harriet Creek subdivision at Thorntree Lane and Pinery Way. The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to the two-alarm fire at 11:41 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses told police that they saw two young males running from the area as the fire started.

"Right now it's very suspicious," fire department Lt. Kent Worley said.

Investigators estimated the damages at about $300,000. No one was injured.
