This fire took place Monday May 14, in San Marcos, CA, located in northern San Diego County. The San Marcos and Vista Fire Departments were dispatched to a structure fire in the 800 block of Via Barquero located in San Marcos.
Upon arrival, the crew from Engine 1411 from San Marcos said flames were shooting from the garage that had also engulfed a vehicle in the driveway. Initial reports were that a woman may be trapped in the house.
However, they found the victim safe in her backyard. She was checked out by medics.
The San Diego Sheriff Bomb squad also responded.
